Home V Birchfield park 3rd XI (ACC Lost by 9 Wickets)

Ainsdale Cricket Club did enjoy winning ways though over the Bank Holiday period in the form of a great victory for the 4th XI away at SeftonPark. A great batting display by the Ainsdale team despite being made to take to the crease first after losing the toss laid the foundation for victory. Jack Wardale, Kyle Marshall and James Fazakerley all scored over 20 runs each but the performance of the day was a superb 61 from recent signing Tom Cooper who hammered 8 boundaries in his knock, which helped Ainsdale, put a winning total of 176 runs on the board. Some tight bowling by the Ainsdale side with wickets being taken throughout the side, and in particular an impressive haul of 3for7 in just 3 overs by Rob Gamble, gave the home side too much work to do. SeftonPark were all out for 154 giving Ainsdale a 22 run victory.
